Yadkin River
Trail - This trail is for canoes and rafts only. You can float
and enjoy the unspoiled wildlife and natural vegetation along this
portion of the Yadkin River Trail that forms the Northeastern border
of Rowan County.
High Rock Lake - this 15,000 acre lake is the largest
lake in the Uwharrie Mountain chain of reservoirs on the Yadkin
River and has thousands of acres of undeveloped shoreline that is
home to a variety of wildlife. You can launch your boat at the
Tamarac Marina.
Golf Courses - Rowan County has 72-holes of first
class golf. These courses can challenge all levels of
play.

Tennis Courts
- Tennis Courts are available, no reservation required, at Salisbury
City Park and Dan Nicholas, Ellis and Bakers Creek Parks. Courts are
also available at the Salisbury Civic Center.
Hunting and Fishing - Some of the most fertile state
game land for hunting and fishing can be found in Rowan County. High
Rock Lake was selected 3 times to host the annual National B.A.S.S.
Masters tournament. The lake is also well-stocked with catfish and
crappie.
Lazy 5 Ranch - A unique animal park with over 600
exotic animals from around the world. But you'll have to stay in
your car for this activity - this is 3.5 mile drive-through facility
located on 185 acres.
